After recent trainings and security advisory support in South Sudan, Safer Edge highlighted several issues that we believed were about to become of great interest. At the same time we could see the need for those operating in South Sudan to review, or at least consider, their plans, SOPs and contingencies. With these issues now coming to fruition, and increased instability in the country, this need for review and planning is even greater.
In order to encourage a proactive approach to the current South Sudan context we have written the attached briefing note to update those not in South Sudan and, at the same time, to encourage all those operating in South Sudan to consider the variety of impacts the current situation may have on them.
Safer Edge would encourage those operating in South Sudan to review their SOPs and contingencies. If you need assistance to either review or implement any plans then Safer Edge have a team that can assist with this. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any assistance. Please note that this information is correct as at 1800hrs Wednesday 20th May and that the situation is in flux.
