Good security awareness takes time and experience to develop. Whilst all our security training courses offer a valuable foundation in the right skills and techniques, the real learning comes when staff put what they have learnt into practice.
To support this process, particularly for humanitarian managers, Safer Edge recommends undertaking a process of on-going mentoring and coaching.
The extent of this will depend on the context in which your staff are working, their previous skills and experience, and the level of responsibility they hold.
A mentoring and coaching package can be anything from remote, periodic conversations to regular field visits for particular individuals or groups of staff members.
Most of our consultants have experience in capacity building national and international staff in security management skills through a combination of training, on-the-job experience, mentoring and coaching.
We are always happy to discuss your specific requirements, and to advise you on the options that will best meet your programme and staff needs.
